K-12 Teacher Program
We are excited to share a unique professional development opportunity this summer made possible by the Institute of Energy Innovation.
“Energy Fundamentals” is a weeklong course designed to introduce foundational concepts in energy systems, markets, and policy. Whether you’re a science teacher, social studies educator, or simply interested in energy’s role in our world, this course is designed to provide accessible, engaging content directly relevant to Louisiana and beyond. Please visit the homepage for more information.
Thanks to generous support from the LSU Institute for Energy Innovation, we are able to offer the following to participants selected on a competitive basis:
- $1,000 stipend for each week of attendance
- Free registration for the course
To be eligible to apply, you must be a current Louisiana K-12 teacher.
To apply, simply complete this short interest survey below:
Applicants that fill out the survey will be contacted directly about course attendance. There are a limited number of seats available, so complete the survey now!
The course is offered twice this summer (choose the session that works best for your schedule):
- June 23–27, 2025
- July 7–11, 2025
Sessions will be held in Baton Rouge, with day passes available for those who cannot attend the full week.
Please feel free to share this opportunity with other educators in your network. We look forward to learning with you this summer!
